Sable
Historically reserved only for Russian royalty, Barguzin sable is now considered one of the most desirable fur on the market. Barguzin referred to a region in Russia adjusted to lake Baikal known for its brutal winters and endless wilderness. Being mostly wild caught, sable is usually never dyed. The color varies from light gold to almost black with all the possible shades of brown in between. Selecting the right color of sable is very important and is based on person's hair color and complexion.
Russian sable is known for its silk like feel and light weight without compromising the warmth of the fur.
One of the rarest characteristics of sable is the ability to have silvery tone hairs. The presents of silver will determine if the sable is 1,2,3,4 or 5 silvery grade. The grade of the silver determines the price of the pelts and silvery number 5 being the most expensive.
Sable as well as mink are known to be everlasting furs and have the longest lifespan out of all the furs.
